Many people today are unaware of or don't understand what VoIP or CRM stands for. (CRM) Contact Relationship Management Software; (VoIP) Voice over Internet Protocols are technologies currently being utilized by national & global Corporations. The simple explanation is that by using a variety of integrated technologies (Caller ID, A.I., Data tracking, etc.), corporations will be able to develop highly detailed profiles on their customers. For example; a conglomerate (holding company) utilizes CRM Technology and owns a clothing retail, industrial products, and a food company. Both personally & professionally, you make purchases; and that data is being processed and compiled to develop profiles about your personal & professional life, habits, preferences, and styles. That information will be used to conduct laser-focused marketing based on real time and proprietary information. Is this good or bad for small to medium sized businesses? Only if they do nothing! This level of client profiling will create new competitive marketing challenges for small to medium sized businesses. There are numerous ways for small-medium sized businesses to compete and stay within their budgets. The top two things a business can do are: start/expand your client database to increase pertinent information on your clients; implement a strategy to begin/increase your marketing efforts.
