Do you think there may be a perfect opportunity for you in the world of franchise ownership? Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone, and look for it? Will you go beyond a cursory online search? What will you do if you find it?
Lots of questions. You'll own the answers. {And maybe a business of your own, too}
I am a pretty cautious guy, in most respects. When it comes to working with Northeast Ohio residents that want to explore buying a franchise, I am very careful. Nine months ago, if you would have asked me if it was the right time to go into business, I would have told you "maybe." I also would have strongly suggested that you go slow. Real slow.
{Actually, about nine months ago, I was telling folks those very things. I don't believe in spinning things. What it is, is what it is.}
What am I telling prospective franchise owners now? Three words;
Go for it.
Our economy seems to getting a little better, although unemployment may stay high through the end of the year. That reason alone may be the one to propel you on your search for the perfect opportunity. {Or would you rather compete in a very crowded job market.}
I have started to see more franchise candidates in the last 90 days. Things are turning, folks.
One more thing. If you are thinking about buying a franchise concept that requires retail space, there is lots of it available. You could be in a fine position to get a deal on a lease.
Now, about that "perfection" thing...
If you are leaning towards investing in a franchise to get you where you want to go, what do you feel that a franchise concept should offer that would make you feel that it was a perfect scenario in which you would move forward with it? Here are six things that I feel should be in place;
- Major brand power
- Constant innovation from management
- Uniformity
- Solid training program
- Extremely profitable franchisees
- Engaged in social media*
