Tips To Make Sure Your Advertising Copy Works: Tips 13 and 14

Here are the last two, last month I gave tips #10-12 here are the #13 & 14.

Number Thirteen; Don't Be Cheap: When you send something that looks cheap people will assume that the product and/or service that you are advertising is cheap. Just because you can send an email for FREE doesn't mean it has to look cheap. Some people want to spend 3 cents on a flyer and use it to sell hundreds and thousands of dollars worth of product or service. It doesn't have to look pretty but it shouldn't look cheap. The amount of money you spend trying to get new clients should be directly related to the life time value of that client to you! This is a number you should always know and if you don't find out what it is.

Number Fourteen; Using only one media outlet to get your message out: I recently interviewed a prospective client that was interested in hiring me to help his business with their marketing. The first thing that he told me was that his business was down almost 70% of where it was 3 years ago. I also found out that the only way he stayed on touch with his clients were via his website and trades shows. He quit going to trade shows 2 years ago because they weren't working anymore.

You should never use only one or two different media outlets to reach and stay in touch with you clients. In today's world things are changing quickly. It is getting more and more difficult to get emails through, spam filters and etc., people are quicker to hit the delete buttons because of how many e-mails they get. You should take advantage of several different media outlets. Mail, email, website, faxing (where legal) and so on. Take advantage of some of the newer technology where it fits for you. Now you have all 14 of them. Just implementing a few can make a difference in your business. Implementing all of them correctly will be like putting your marketing on steroids.
