Wouldn't it be great if life were nice and easy?  Unfortunately, life is full of change, chaos, and stress and will continue to be so.  Stress is at the heart of so many present day physical and emotional conditions. That's the bad news.

The good news is that we can better manage stress simply with a change in attitude. Merely by changing how you perceive and interpret events, you can immediately and dramatically decrease your level of stress and increase your coping.

Stress first begins and is triggered by your interpretation of an event.  Remember that events are neutral occurrences until you infuse them with meaning.  Each person creates and maintains unnecessary stress because stress is created and carried in the mind of the beholder.

Change your world by changing your mind.  How can you start?  Follow these tips for vaccinating against stress:

o Begin to accept that stress & unfortunate events are an inevitable part of life
o Don't sweat the small stuff
o Laugh a lot - maintain a sense of humor
o Do something you love regularly
o Put together a list of controllable influencers in your life and focus your energy on   those  variables to create the life and change you want to see.
o Develop positive habits & routines (e.g., exercising, getting more organized)
o Drop nonproductive coping behaviors (e.g., complaining, depression)
o Surround yourself with people who are helpful and supportive
          o Focus on your successes

These vaccinations are inexpensive, easy to use, and transportable.  They are your best defense for living in a stressful world.
