Is Quickbooks enough for Taxes?

Is Quickbooks enough for Taxes?
I currently use Quickbooks in my business for day-to-day operations, but have an accountant that assists me with various things including taxes. I was curious if for a small business it would be advisable to use only Quickbooks for my taxes?

Also, is there other tax software out there that would be better for handling our needs internally?

I think you may be a little confused. QuickBooks is an accounting package which allows you to produce financial reports. Those financial reports mainly the year end balance sheet and annual profit and loss (income statement) provide the information to your accountant to prepare your annual business tax returns. If you would like to prepare your own tax returns you will need a product like TaxCut or TurboTax.

Being a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor I work with many business owners who use QuickBooks. The best and most effective way is to find an accountant who will help you prepare clean reports from QuickBooks thus reducing the amount of time that is necessary for your accountant to prepare your year end business tax returns.
