I have only used TalkShoe to participate in live broadcasts and I am a fan of it. It seems to be a great way to do a live broadcast and interact with your audience. I am not familiar with hosting a show and what all is entailed.

My suggestion would be to signup and participate in a existing Talkcasts. Figure out how they work and then evaluate whether or not it is a good place for you to host content.

I am not sure what models they have for monetizing Talkcasts, most of the shows I follow rely on ad revenue.
