EMPLOYEE HOLIDAY GIFTS

EMPLOYEE HOLIDAY GIFTS
WE HAVE A COMPANY WITH ABOUT 40 EMPLOYEES. I AM ALWAYS CURIOUS TO KNOW WHAT OTHERS OF SIMILAR SIZE COMPANIES DO (OR DON'T DO) FOR ANNUAL HOLIDAY GIFTS.

HI. I've worked for a few different companies and all have been different. Best thing to do is look at your budget. Most places I've worked have had some sort of holiday meal either a lunch or dinner, either on-site or off-site. Some have given gifts from management, others have not. Most have also done some sort of charity drive as well (adopt a family thru the city, toys for tots, etc. something to help give back)

Hope that gives you an idea. Good Luck.

In determining what you should do for your employees for the holidays, you may want to ask some of your employees for feedback on what they would appreciate.

I work on my own, but most of my clients are smaller companies (less than 50 employees). Some don't do anything, but most at least have a holiday party where they provide lunch or dinner.

I have a few companies that also provide an extra day off around the holidays (floating holiday) and I know of several companies that provide gift cards (usually between $25 and $100). Some companies use the holidays as an opportunity to distribute logo wear
