The best time to get a line of credit established is when you do not need it. A line of credit should be used for short term needs or an unexpected expense. Some examples of this are, if your supplier is offering a discounted rate if you purchase today, or if one of your machines breaks down and you need access to cash fast. There is some paperwork involved just like a line of credit on your home and cost are typically minimal.
