Under Revenue Procedure 2011-69, the Internal Revenue Service has issued updated federal standard mileage rates for the second half of 2011. The standard mileage rate for cars, vans, pickup trucks or panel trucks will be increasing to 55.5 cents per mile starting July 1, 2011. The standard mileage rate for medical or moving will be increasing to 23.5 cents per mile.

For the first six months of 2011, standard mileage rate for cars, vans, pickup trucks or panel trucks is 51 cents per mile, medical or moving is 19 cents per mile.
There in no change in the charitable miles driven rate of 14 cents per mile.
