James K. Roosa holds degrees from Oberlin College (1980), Yale University (1982) and Case Western Reserve University School of Law (1987).

Mr. Roosa focuses law practice on advising start-up an early stage companies in a wide variety of industries.

After practicing law for several years at a Fortune 500 corporation and at one of the areas' largest law firms, Mr. Roosa started his own law firm in 1998. Roosa Co., LPA  focuses exclusively on start-up, early stage and smaller businesses, with an emphasis on Incorporations and Entity Formation,  Contract Drafting and Review, Real Estate Transactions, Business Transactions,  Trademarks and Copyrights,  Franchise Agreements, Collection of Delinquent Accounts and Business Litigation. The firm also advises its business owner clients on employment issues.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Roosa also serves as a court-appointed mediator and arbitrator in the federal and state courts located in Cuyahoga County Ohio. In this capacity, he helps resolve business-to-business disputes after lawsuits have been filed, but before trial.

As a volunteer in the community, Mr. Roosa is a frequent lecturer on behalf of SCORE Cleveland on topics of interest to early stage companies. He also volunteers his time to E-City Cleveland, a non-profit organization that teaches entrepreneurship to students in Cleveland (OH) public high schools.
